bomb threat?

I woke up early this morning, made my breakfast like I always do. Then it hit me from no where that I was running extremely late. But I didn't care too much, for I was missing government. I text my dear friend Whitney, told her I'd be coming to class late.

She text back and said, "don't rush, there are a bunch of cops and stuff and everyone is in the gym."

By the time I saw that text, I was heading out the door. It was about 8:15 when I got to school. Whitney was right, there were a bunch of cops.

My mom said while in her bathrobe, "Oh great... if I get pulled over and they talk to me..." while adjusting her robe. I laughed and got out of the car.

I walked into the school and a police officer told me to head to the gym. I felt real awkward as I walked to the gym because it was me and bunch of cops, school district leaders and more cops. I took a pit stop at my locker, even though I was told to go straight to the gym... i didn't want to be carrying everything around... sorry. Anyway, I was walking into the gym and Ms. Lang, my chemistry teacher before I got out of her class, stopped me and said, "it's obvious if you're late today!" and rolled her eyes at me. I just walked past her and smiled real big.

I went in and found my friends and we stood to talk for a while. After about twenty minutes we maneuvered our way to the bleachers. Almost ten-fifteen minutes later, some smart guy turned on some music to keep us, the wild teenagers, in somewhat control. So, the music started, then the dancing. There is a kid named Sam at our school and he has just the coolest dance moves and he had to start a "dance off." It kept the students attention and my friends and I watched.

Quotes to make my day so great:

"that was just weird..."

"let me in, i dance."

"She is more than a hundred miles away!" ..... "She is probably getting it on with Mickey Mouse!"

tick tick tick.....
 "AHH! it's a bomb!"
(as he gathers his food and fakes to leave.)

"I don't know his name... it might be Spencer, but he always gives me gum so I like him."

".... it doesn't look like they're dancing..."

"he's into you. when are you guys going to date? can i come to your wedding? what are you going to name your kids? where are you going to live?"

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."

"beauty and THE BEAST!!!" "tale as old as time... ting ting ting da ting... barely even....oh."

"sometimes, i fart."

"HEY DAN!!!" ..... "oh hey preston...."

So, back to the bomb threat...
My High School was placed on lockdown for several hours today, after a student found a suspicious backpack.

Police destroyed the backpack and believe that whoever placed it was determined to disrupt school.
The backpack was found on the south end of the school, around 7:30 a.m. "There was a note attached (to the backpack) that indicated there was a bomb inside," said Police Sgt. Drew Sanders.

Students were taken to the school's gymnasium while a bomb squad investigated the incident.
About 11 a.m., students were allowed to return to class after the backpack was destroyed by the bomb squad, which determined the backpack contained no explosives or even explosive components, according to Sanders.

We are all safe and it was, really, a good day!
 Well Folks, That's all.
